IDEAS ABOUNDING

I feel like I'm still in the organization part of setting up my studio, but I'm slow and have had a few interruptions. There is no curtain on my window and I've been thinking about how to deal with that. I have an enormous yellow crayon which is actually a child's bank. I also have some other gigantic pencils. They are always in the way of the cats place at the window so I've decided that I will hang them in a V shape as the size of the pencils gets smaller. I'll leave plenty of room to look out the window, but also keep it high enough to be out of the way of the cat's view.

Recently my order of henna supplies came. The essential oils for making henna called terps are intoxicating. I haven't made any yet because I want to wait until I have a little more energy. It is a time sensitive process. I've downloaded instructions (a whole book) for drawing henna, but of course I will have my own ideas. Mostly this tells me the nature of stroke making with henna. I love it because it only lasts a few weeks.

Bob has been taking wonderful photos of flowers this spring. He has one that I particularly love of a bouquet of red tulips with bright yellow edges. For Mother's Day he gave this one to me. I look at it every time I use the computer. What a treat.
